Overview

FAO supports the Government of Burundi in the fight against food insecurity and malnutrition by strengthening sustainable, inclusive and resilient agrifood systems, information and early warning systems, and capacities. It is a member of the PMSAN and funded the June 2026 IPC analysis workshop, held on its premises in Bujumbura. Areas of intervention: national, with activities in several provinces depending on the projects, in particular areas with high food and nutrition vulnerability.
